Volkswagen Routan – overview
The Volkswagen Routan is a 7-seater minivan based on the Chrysler RT platform, only slightly different from well-known vans such as the Dodge Grand Caravan or the Chrysler Town & Country. It was produced by Volkswagen from 2008 to 2012. The relatively insignificant production period is due to the fact that the Routan did not have any advantages over them. It looks similar inside and outside, features similar power systems and technical parameters.
