Volkswagen Tavendor in Israel

The Volkswagen Tavendor is a large crossover, its name derived from the Greek words "tavros" (meaning "bull") and "esplendor" (meaning "splendor"). It has been in production since 2022 by the joint venture FAW-Volkswagen in China. The foundation of this sizable vehicle, nearly five meters in length, is the good old MQB modular platform with a transverse engine layout and front-wheel drive. The cabin is strictly a 5-seater: a third row is not even available as an option. The Tavendor is equipped with a 2-liter TSI turbocharged engine producing either 186 or 220 horsepower. The base option is fitted to front-wheel-drive models, while the second option is for all-wheel-drive versions. There is only one gearbox available - a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission.
