Automatic transmission replacement
Automatic transmission replacement
It takes special skills to remove and install a new automatic transmission, as it is a technically challenging task. But the standard procedure is as follows: draining the oil from the automatic transmission, removing the sump and filter, disconnecting the hoses from the cooling system pipes, the mechanical control rod fasteners and all the connectors that connect the electronically-controlled automatic transmission. The torque converter is also removed. Once all the operations are completed, it is required to proceed with the installation of the automatic transmission.
