It is required to replace an air filter when it is clogged, which is indicated by unusual noises in the engine, slow movement of the car after its start and weak acceleration, increased fuel consumption, black smoke and even flame coming from the exhaust pipe, a smell of gasoline in the exhaust, and activation of the Check engine indicator. To replace the filter, remove the cover of the filtration device, remove the contaminated filter and install a new one.
