It may be required to adjust the handbrake in the following cases: a broken parking brake cable; a jammed cable; incorrect initial adjustment; worn out brake pads; leakage of car oil or brake fluid. To adjust to the appropriate height, raise the parking brake lever, loosen the equalizer lock nut, tighten the equalizer adjusting nut. If the cable tension is not set properly after completing all the above steps, then proceed with the replacement of the parking brake cable. It is required to ensure the presence of skills and special conditions to adjust the cable in the proper manner.
