Vehicle inspection or test is mandatory and carried out regularly. Most vehicles are tested once a year. A new private vehicle is exempt from the test for the first two years. Before testing a vehicle over 15 years old, the brake system is checked. Vehicles over 19 years old are tested twice a year.
