Borgward Isabella generations

The Borgward Isabella is a beautiful compact car produced from 1954 to 1962. Initially, the name “Isabella” was used for test cars, but engineers and the media loved it, so it was decided to keep the name. The car turned out to be innovative, featuring a coil suspension, a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 60 hp, and in a 4-speed gearbox with a full synchronizer, as well as a hydraulic clutch. Carl gave one such car to his wife Elisabeth, who drove it until the 1980s.
