Ford Windstar – overview
The Ford Windstar is a three-row minivan, which was produced and sold very successfully by Ford in the United States. Introduced as the replacement for the Aerostar model, the new minivan received a front-wheel drive configuration similar to Chrysler models. As a result, the Windstar became so popular that it took second place in the company's sales, and a total of 1.7 million units were produced. Three generations were produced from 1995 to 2007. The last generation continued to be produced under the name Freestar.
