The Polish automaker FSO founded in 1951 manufactured Warsaw-badged motor cars. Its first models were replicas of the upgraded Russian Pobeda car. It was only in 1953 that the factory’s engineers developed their own car. Unfortunately, FSO's resources were complete depleted in 1996 and the release of a new model was impossible both technically and economically. First, the company was acquired by the South Korean Daewoo but in 2002 the title to FSO was transferred to General Motors and then to UkrAvto. In fact, no FSO cars have been manufactured since 2011.
