The UK automaker Invicta founded in 1925 manufactured sports cars. Invicta's racing success was fueled by Dewar Trophy victories. Invicta cars showed their reliability in 1926 endurance races having made 8,000 km at the Linas-Montlhéry circuit. Famous Donald Healy won the Rally Monte Carlo in 1930 driving a 4½ liter S-Type Invicta. Invicta branded cars were produced until 1950. The company was revived only after a 50-year break, in the early 2000s, when it unveiled its brand new S1 model at the Birmingham Motor Show.
