Kia Sorento – overview
The Kia Sorento is a mid-sized SUV produced by the South Korean automaker Kia Motors since 2002. It can have both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive. There is also a rear-wheel drive version on the American market. The name "Sorento" comes from the name of the Italian resort town of Sorrento and shows the focus on the European market. Manufacturers classify the model as a mid-size SUV, but it is as well-equipped and as comfortable as a true business class car. The Kia Sorento is ideal for those who want something bigger than more compact Sportage, but who are not ready yet for the full-size Mohave.
