Lotus Excel – overview
The Lotus Excel is a sports car produced by the British automaker Lotus Cars from 1982 to 1992. The model was remembered for its truly impressive handling and maneuverability, thanks to which it could overtake other, even more powerful, sports cars on the track. Plus, unlike many sports cars, the Excel is surprisingly well built due to the collaboration with Toyota: Lotus shared its know-how in exchange for Japanese reliability. The result was a high-performance, but safe model that was even sold as a family car.
