Mercedes CL-Class – overview

The Mercedes-Benz CL-Class is a luxury full-size coupe car based on the S-Class. It was produced from 1992 to 2014. Previously, the entire series was called "SEC”, an abbreviation for the German words Sonderklasse-Einspritzmotor-Coupé (a special class of injection coupe), later it was named simply S-Coupe. The Mercedes-Benz CL-Class was characterized by a shorter wheelbase, a sportier exterior and was equipped with the most efficient engines.
