Mercedes CLK-Class - catalog and technical specifications

The Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class is a mid-size luxury coupe and convertible produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1997 to 2010. The name "CLK" comes from the German words "Coupe Leicht Kurz", which translates as "light short coupe". The CLK-Class has conquered a new market niche for the German company. Luxury coupes and convertibles were positioned above the E-Class, even though the first generation was based on the Mercedes-Benz C-Class platform. The series is known for many interesting versions based on it, one of which is the CLK GTR sports racing car, equipped with a 6.9-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of over 620 hp. At the 1997 World Championship, the German supercar surpassed its main competitors, the McLaren F1 and Porsche 911 GT1. And a year later, it completely won all the stages of the world championship.
