Mercedes SLS AMG - catalog and technical specifications
The Mercedes-AMG SLS is a two-seater luxury supercar, the successor to the SLR McLaren and the ideological heir to the legendary 300SL model. It was the first Mercedes-Benz to be designed and built from the ground up by Mercedes-AMG. The car was assembled manually and was produced from 2010 to 2014 in coupe and roadster bodies. Like its 300SL ancestor, the Mercedes-AMG SLS featured gullwing doors. The car was equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine with 571 hp, which was paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox by Getrag. In 2010, the SLS AMG was rightfully named the official Formula 1 safety car. Interestingly, the model served as the basis for the ordinary taxi, which became the fastest taxi in the world with a maximum speed of 317 km/h.
