The American automaker Nash was founded in 1917 by Charles Nash, a former president of General Motors. Nash branded cars were in good demand until the outbreak of World War II and the original models were manufactured after the war as well. For example, Airflight featuring Pininfarina’s body whose sales totaled 140,000 units during the first year after its release alone. It was Nash that produced the super popular Rambler featuring the smallest dimensions among all of the models produced by the company. In 1956, the company even developed its own V8 engine. However, demand for Nash cars was falling which forced the company to stop manufacturing its cars in 1957.
