Nissan Serena generations
The Nissan Serena is a mid-size minivan produced since 1991 and sold in Japan and some other Asian countries. Its name comes from the Latin word "serēnus", which means "calm, pleasant". At the beginning, the car received a rear-wheel drive and an axle, but the second generation models moved to a front-wheel drive scheme and a multi-link suspension. The third generation was named Japan's best-selling minivan in 2007-2008-2009. The last fifth generation was released in 2016. After the restyling in 2019, it received two different hybrid systems.
