Oldsmobile Delta 88 – overview

The Oldsmobile Delta belongs to the renowned 88 series of full-size passenger cars produced under the Oldsmobile brand from 1949 to 1999. A large, quintessentially American sedan with an abundance of chrome was the dream of every blue-collar worker in America. Built on the universal B-body chassis, it was equipped with powerful V8 engines. However, the Oldsmobile Delta gained its iconic status when it ended up in the family of director Sam Raimi. Not every car gets to "star" in as many films consecutively as the "Delta" did. And that's because the director seriously considered it his "lucky charm". Sam Raimi featured the "Delta" in almost all of his movies, including the famous "Evil Dead" trilogy.
