The American prestigious passenger car brand Packard founded in 1899 was one of the largest players in the American and global luxury car market. In the 1920s and 1930s, Packard ranked No.1 by the total sales of luxury car that were popular with the political and business elite around the world. In 1954, Packard joined the Studebaker corporate group that completely discontinued the brand's models in 1958 and launched new developments under its own brand.
