Nobody can imagine the Austrian automotive industry without Puch corporate group. The founder of the company, Johannes Puch, initially manufactured bicycles and motorcycles. Puch decided to release his first car only in 1906. After the collapse of Austria-Hungary, Puch almost ceased to exist as a company and Mr. Puch decided to return to its origins, two-wheeled vehicles. Thanks to this choice, the corporate group managed to rise from the ashes. It was only after merging with Austrian Daimler in 1928 that Puch reverted to assembling cars. After World War II, Puch manufactured motorcycles and scooters and then manufactured Italian Fiat 500 for a long time. Today, Puch produces legendary German SUVs Mercedes-Benz G-Class and American Chryslers.
