Rambler car models in Israel

At the beginning of the 20th century, the name "Rambler" was a popular brand manufacturing two-seater carriages powered by single-cylinder engines. The first Ramblers were lightweight and very popular fuel savers. The innovations that Rambler was first to implement among US car manufacturers included a quick-detachable spare wheel (1909), a lockable fuel tank cap and an adjustable steering column (1911). Subsequently, the Rambler brand remained in oblivion for a long time until it joined American Motors Corporation and all AMC cars were Rambler-badged. At the end of the 50s, the revived Rambler brand captured 75% of the market selling motor cars with small and medium power engines. However, it could not stand the competition and AMC discontinued the brand in 1971.
