Saab 9-2X - catalog and technical specifications
The Saab 9-2X is a compact estate, identical to the Subaru Impreza. It was even nicknamed "Saabaru". The model was produced in Japan. It was sold by General Motors in the United States and Canada from 2004. The car differed from the Japanese "sibling" in a different design of the front end, a modified interior and a reconfigured suspension. The Saab 9-2X was equipped with 2.5-liter 4-cylinder naturally aspirated boxer engines with 165 hp or 2-liter turbocharged engines with 227 hp. All versions were four-wheel drive, featuring a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Sales of the car were lower than expected. In 2006, the 9-2X was discontinued due to the fact that GM decided to get rid of the Swedish brand.
