Studebaker Automobile Corporation (USA) founded in 1852 was originally a manufacturer of carts and buckboards for farmers and miners. It was only in 1902 that it started manufacturing cars. During World War II, Studebaker produced military trucks that became legendary. It was on Studebaker’s US6 base that was used as a platform for the famous Soviet Katyushas. Unfortunately, the post-war period was a challenge for the company with its new models of motor cars being unable to achieve popularity they enjoyed in the past. Studebaker ceased manufacturing cars in 1966.
