Tatra 57 - catalog and technical specifications

The Tatra 57 is a two-door subcompact car produced since 1932. The rear-wheel drive car was powered by 1.2-liter engines. The compact sedan was of great importance to the company. Thus, in 1936, Tatra released the updated 57A modifications, followed by the 57B models in 1938. In 1941, the manufacturer introduced a 57K military modification, known as the Kübelwagen, which was created by order of the German army. The car had a higher ground clearance and a 1,256 cc engine that produced 23 hp. Production of the 57K ended in 1947, and the 57B was discontinued in 1949. After that, the company did not produce compact cars for a long time.
