Tatra car models in Israel

The Czech car maker Tatra is virtually one of the oldest in the world! Schustala & Company founded in the 1850s was a conventional chaise and carriage workshop. However, the company manufactured railroad cars by 1882 and in 1897 the first Präsident model was assembled. It then started manufacturing racing cars, trucks and civilian models. As to the name "Tatra", it appeared only in 1918 after testing a model "U" motor car in the highlands of the Tatras. In 2013, the company was sold by auction for CZK 176 million to Marek Galvas, the owner of Czech Truck Development.
