Tatra 80 - catalog and technical specifications
The Tatra 80 is a luxury full-size car designed by Hans Ledwinka in 1930. The car was based on a spinal chassis and independent suspension. It featured a 3.4-liter 6-cylinder engine with 120 hp, offering the maximum speed of 130 km/h. Tatra supplied a bare chassis, engine and transmission, so the buyers were able to choose the body type and the body company that would build it. So 4-door sedans, convertibles, 6-seater limousines and even more exotic options were built. The Tatra 80 was considered the most luxurious and expensive car of the company. One of them was even made for the President of the country, Tomasz Masaryk. Only 22 cars were produced between 1931 and 1935.
