Catalyst repair

The catalyst is initially non repairable, so in case of its failure, it is removed and replaced. There are three replacement options: replacement with the original catalyst; replacement of the catalyst with a universal analogue; replacement of the catalyst with a flame arrester. In all cases, the faulty catalyst is dismantled. If the catalyst is installed in the muffler without additional equipment, it is required to cut it out with a special tool. If the catalyst is equipped with a lambda probe, it is necessary to adjust the ECU program, recode the environmental standards of the control unit, and to install an oxygen sensor correction controller between the control unit and the probe.
