Steering rack diagnostics
Such signs as the steering wheel play, power steering rack oil leakage, difficultly in turning the steering wheel, especially accompanied by noise, knocking sound coming from the front suspension, noise of the power steering pump, may signify that the steering rack is defective. In all these cases, the steering rack is subject to diagnostics, which can be carried out in three stages: diagnostics in the car, checking the removed device and, if necessary, conducting a detailed inspection of the disassembled steering rack.
