It may be required to replace the fuel pump in the presence of the following signs: engine starting problems, loss of pressure in the fuel line, black plaque on the spark plugs, squeak and hum during the engine operation, etc. Before removing the fuel pump, depressurize the feed system, disconnect the battery, remove the fuel lines and the pressure ring of the fuel pump, and remove the fuel pump from the tank. You can proceed with the installation of a new unit only after completing all of the above steps.
