You need to replace the timing belt in the following cases: a long service life of the timing belt, car starting problems and a drop in power, noticeable smoke from the exhaust pipe, ticking sound coming from the engine, leaks from under the timing belt case, cracks and scuffs on the timing belt, timing belt break and other symptoms. To replace the timing belt, remove the wheel, engine cover and alternator belt. Please note that, in some cars, it may be necessary to dismantle several more elements. Then remove the fastenings of the timing belt, the timing belt tensioner and the timing belt. Carry out installation of a new timing belt in the reverse order.
