Some caliper faults can be repaired. To do this, remove the wheel and pads, disconnect the brake system hose, disconnect the parking brake, dismantle the caliper and brake pipe fasteners, remove the cylinder, then dismantle, flush and repair the caliper, or replace it if the unit is completely worn out.
