Drive belt replacement
Drive belt replacement
The drive belt is replaced if it is worn out, which can be indicated by such signs as a whistle when starting the engine or at high speeds, the indicator signals confirming a decrease in generator performance, the appearance of stains of oil, fuel and other operating fluids and cracks, scuffs, loose threads and other defects detected in the course of visual inspection. To replace the belt, disconnect the battery, unscrew the tension roller screw to loosen it and dismantle the belt from the camshaft, roller shafts and pump shaft. Dismantle the drive shaft retaining screw, and then remove the crankshaft pulley, the component drive fastener and the belt. Installation of the device is carried out in the reverse order.
