The catalyst is initially non repairable, so in case of its failure, it is removed and replaced. There are three replacement options: replacement with the original catalyst; replacement of the catalyst with a universal analogue; replacement of the catalyst with a flame arrester. In all cases, the faulty catalyst is dismantled. If the catalyst is installed in the muffler without additional equipment, it is required to cut it out with a special tool.
