Starter repair

It may be time to repair the starter if the engine fails to start at the first attempt, and you hear a clicking sound when turning the ignition key, but the engine does not start. Before removing the starter from the car, disconnect the battery, remove the lower engine protection, after which dismantle the starter. Most often, as part of the repair, the gearbox, the retractor relay, the replacement of the brush assembly or the overrunning clutch (one-way clutch of a starter) are replaced.
