Engine valve adjustment

Maladjusted engine valves lead to a decline in the engine efficiency and a decrease in the resource of its components, which is determined by a decrease in engine power and a characteristic metal knocking sound. The valve is adjusted when the engine is off and cold. First, the thermal gap is checked with a probe, adjustment is made by turning the adjusting screws of the rocker arms in the desired direction. Then the clearance in the valves of other cylinders is adjusted in compliance with the order of activating the engine cylinders.
