The signs of wear of the input shaft bearing include noises or howling sounds when the engine is running in neutral, knocking sounds in the gearbox, failure of gears, bearing seizure when the clutch is engaged. To replace the part, dismantle the gearbox, after which remove the housing, the shaft retaining rings and the bearing from the positioning notch. Install a new bearing in the cleaned place.
