Greyhound

AC Greyhound generations

The AC Greyhound is a large 4-seater coupe produced from 1959 to 1963. A total of 83 units were built. The model was based on the Ace and Aceca, from which it inherited many technical solutions and components, including engines with a volume of 2.0-2.6 liters. The car differed from the "relatives" by a 25 cm longer wheelbase, a spring front suspension instead of a leaf spring. For its time, the Greyhound lived up to the name “hound” given to it, developing 180 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 11 seconds.
