The Apal automotive company is named using the first letters of Application Polyester Armé de Liége because a Belgian Edmond Perry, was an expert in fiberglass. Apal, which is a small manufacturer, manufactures and sells its models in limited volumes. Its most successful model, Apal Speedster, was a replica of the Porsche 356 and has produced only 700 cars.
