The Italian car brand Autobianchi was created in 1955 by three companies: Bianchi, Pirelli and FIAT. Small subcompact cars were predominantly manufactured under this brand to become even more popular than similar Fiat models. In addition, Autobianchi tested innovative new concepts such as fiberglass bodies and front-wheel drives. In 1989, the Autobianchi brand was integrated with Lancia and finally ceased to exist in 1995 when the Y10 model was discontinued.
