BYD Dolphin Surf - catalog and technical specifications
BYD Dolphin Surf is a compact 5-door 4-seater electric hatchback, debuted in China in the spring of 2023 under the name BYD Seagull, in Europe it is sold as Dolphin Mini. The budget model of class A+ is part of the extensive "ocean" family of BYD electric vehicles. In fact, the Dolphin Surf is a smaller and simplified version of the larger BYD Dolphin. Both cars have in common the e3.0 platform, unified components and a single design idea. The Dolphin Surf's exterior is designed in the style of the BYD "marine" family: trapezoidal headlights, a beveled hood and general chopped lines. One of the original solutions is a single windshield wiper. Dimensions: length 3.99 m, wheelbase 2.50 m. The interior repeats the angular motifs and is generally similar to the Dolphin's interior. In front of the driver are 7-inch digital instruments, in the center is a 10.1-inch rotating media system monitor with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a voice assistant and over-the-air updates. The standard equipment includes a remote control application, a full-fledged digital key, with which the NFC card can be transferred to a smartphone or smart watch, USB-C ports, including a 60W fast charger, climate control, electric front seats, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control and 6 airbags. The trunk holds 308 liters, with the rear seats folded down - 930 liters. The BYD Dolphin Surf is driven by a single electric motor on the front axle. Two versions are offered, but they have one battery, with a capacity of 43.2 kW / h: Boost with 88 hp and a range of 322 km (WLTP); Comfort with 156 hp and a range of 310 km. The maximum speed for all versions is limited to 150 km/h.
