BYD Flyer – overview

The BYD Flyer is a subcompact model that appeared in 1998. Starting from the second generation (2005), the car began to be sold under the BYD brand. The car was intended not only for the Chinese market, but was also exported to Russia and Ukraine. Equipped with a 0.8-liter engine and a manual gearbox, the Flyer was considered very fuel-efficient: the average consumption was 4-5 liters per 100 km. In 2008, the model was replaced with a more modern F0.
