BYD Song L DM-i is a mid-size 5-seat crossover with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, introduced in June 2024. The new BYD crossover is based on the electric cross-coupe Song L. Both models are part of the electrified Dynasty family. The dimensions of the BYD Song L DM-i are smaller than those of the related coupe, but they have the same optics: headlights with LED “boomerang” running lights and a single taillight plate. The cabin has separate screens for instruments of 10.25 inches and multimedia with a diagonal of 12.8 or 15.6 inches (depending on the configuration). The tablet can change position from vertical to horizontal. The basic list of equipment includes all-round cameras and cruise control. The BYD Song L DM-i plug-in hybrid unit includes a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 101 hp. and a 218-horsepower electric motor. Front-wheel drive only. But there are 3 battery options to choose from. The longest-range version on pure electric power can travel up to 160 km.
