Caterham Seven – overview
The Caterham Seven is a lightweight 2-seater sports car produced since 1992. The model was developed by the founder of Lotus, engineer Colin Chapman. After production ended, Lotus sold the rights to the model to Caterham Cars. The racing car manufacturer has used this opportunity 100%, releasing both kits for assembly and fully assembled cars under the Caterham brand. They are equipped with different engines with volumes ranging from 1.4 to 2 liters. All cars are outstanding: for example, the Seven JPE has long held the world record for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h. The Seven was chosen as "Car of the Year 2008" by Top Gear journalists.
