Chery Tiggo 9 Pro – overview

Chery Tiggo 9 Pro is a mid-size, 3-row, 7-seater crossover equipped with a powerful plug-in hybrid system and all-wheel drive, unveiled in the summer of 2024. In Israel, the Tiggo 9 Pro debuted in October 2025, joining the already available Tiggo 8 Pro, with which it shares many design and interior similarities. However, the Tiggo 9 Pro surpasses the Tiggo 8 Pro in size: length — 4,810 mm (+90 mm), wheelbase — 2,800 mm (vs. 2,710 mm), and ground clearance — 200 mm. The crossover features a stylish silhouette and flush door handles. All lighting is LED, even in the base version. The body structure is made of 85% high-strength steel. Standard features include 20-inch wheels and a panoramic sunroof with an opening section.

The spacious three-row interior accommodates seven passengers and is trimmed with high-quality materials. With all seats in use, the trunk holds 143 liters, but folding the third row increases capacity to an impressive 819 liters. In front of the driver is a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with a head-up display, and in the center — a large 15.6-inch horizontal multimedia screen.

The only Israeli configuration, Noble, includes a 50W wireless charging pad, three-zone climate control with rear vents, a SONY 14-speaker audio system, power adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage for the front seats, electric adjustment and ventilation for the second-row seats, a power tailgate, a 360° camera, and perimeter parking sensors.

Safety equipment includes 10 airbags, automatic emergency braking (including in reverse), adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a safe-exit assist system.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain of the Chery Tiggo 9 Pro, based on a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine (143 hp) that mainly acts as a generator, features a 3-speed DHT gearbox, three electric motors (two at the front axle and one at the rear), and a 34.5 kWh LFP battery. The drivetrain is all-wheel drive, with a combined output of 449 hp. The 2,308-kg crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 180 km/h. Its all-electric range is rated at 148 km. Fast charging is supported up to 71 kW — charging from 30% to 80% takes about 18 minutes. A full home charge at 6.6 kW takes around 5.3 hours. The crossover can tow trailers weighing up to 1,500 kg.
