Chevette

Chevrolet Chevette generations

The Chevrolet Chevette is a subcompact car produced by GM during 1976–1987 as a three-door or five-door hatchback. The Chevette was the best-selling compact car in the US in 1979 and 1980. It was not distinguished by any outstanding qualities, but it helped GM overcome the catastrophic fuel crisis of the 80s and marked the change in automotive eras, from dimensionless muscle cars to modest simple cars.
