Chrysler Sebring – overview

The Chrysler Sebring is a mid-size passenger car produced by Chrysler in sedan, coupe and convertible bodies from 1995-2010. Interestingly, despite the same name and external design, the coupe and convertibles were different cars produced at different factories: coupes were manufactured in the USA, convertibles in Mexico. Built on the Mitsubishi Eclipse platform, the coupe was a fairly large 2-door car with a spacious interior that could accommodate five people. The convertible was based on Chrysler's own JA platform from the Cirrus sedan. Released in 2000, the Chrysler Sebring sedan was assembled on the same platform. The sedans and convertibles were available in the European market. The Sebring was equipped with a 2-liter engine with 141 hp. The third generation sedans became four-wheel drive, whereas the convertible received a hard top (along with a soft top).
