The Chrysler Viper is known to us as Dodge Viper, the name under which it was sold in Europe. Developed in 1992 by Dodge, a division of Chrysler Corporation, the sports convertible was intended to continue the tradition of classic American sports cars. The model was inspired by the legendary AC Cobra. This is how the modern "Cobra" with a powerful engine, minimalist design and aggressive style, called the Copperhead (a type of rattlesnake in the USA) was created. The name was subsequently changed to Viper, but all sports car engines have since been known as "Copperhead". The interior turned out to be austere with no external door handles, no side windows and no roof. The removable soft top was intended primarily for outdoor storage of the car. The manufacturer intended to make the car lighter. In 1996, a coupe modification appeared, the Viper GTS. The model was distinguished by the "double bubble" roof raised above each seat to allow the use of helmets. Produced until 2002, the sports car was often featured in various TV shows, video games, movies and music videos.
