Dacia Nova – overview
Dacia Nova - the first in-house developed car by the Romanian company Dacia, designed to replace the popular but outdated 1300 model. The development process began as early as the 1980s, but due to political and economic crisis, the finished product didn't reach the production line until 1995, by which time it already looked old-fashioned. In 1997, the car received a minor update, but it didn't help much. The quality of the bodywork was subpar, the trunk space was modest, and the Nova was priced higher than the original model. As a result, sales were poor, even though it was exported to Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, and Serbia.
