The Ferrari 400 is a two-door 2+2 sports car produced from 1976 to 1985. Designed by Pininfarina, the coupe was inspired by the Ferrari 365 GT4 but featured twin taillights and other details. The car featured a large 12-cylinder engine with 340 hp. Of special note was an optional automatic transmission manufactured by General Motors. The manufacturer released 427 cars with the manual transmission and 866 cars with the automatic transmission, which accelerated to 100 km/h one second slower, in 8 seconds. The Ferrari 400i was discontinued in 1985 when it was replaced by the new 412i.
