Ford Focus (North America) in Israel

Everyone knows that the Ford Focus is a compact car designed for Europe, which eventually became very popular. But few people know that the development of the Focus went a separate way for the North American market. Produced in 1999-2007, the first generation Ford Focus (USA) was somewhat different from the European version and came in 3-door hatchback, 4-door sedan or 5-door estate bodies. In 2001, a 5-door hatchback was introduced. The 2008–2011 generation remained only as a 2-door coupe and 4-door sedan. The platform did not change, so the car was not officially considered the second generation, even despite the new exterior and interior.
